Poath Junction - the layout.

The following images were taken on my HO scale railway layout.

Austrains "The Ghan" NR's 74+109 undergo light engine trials on the branchline. These are BIG engines and they quickly found a few areas where clearances with the scenery are a bit tight.

A typical Branchline mixed goods/passenger. The passengers in the CX dogbox will really appreciate the smell coming from the BCW/CW's.
Minimodels BCW, Camco CW, Lloyds whitemetal CX passenger, Ian Lindsay Models LHG guards van. The CX and LHG still need windows fitted and a bit of detailing.

Loco 4836 was painted in a special livery to celebrate 125 years of rail service in NSW, and is seen here having come to the rescue of a string of LCH coal hoppers and S open wagons. The trains original loco broke a coupler and had to leave its precious cargo stranded on the branchline until help arrived. Of course that doesn't explain why there is no guards van in sight. Heads will roll for that little error!!!
S17508 suffered serious damage when my cat decided to 'play trains' one day, however a bit of superglue and some touch-up paint has hidden most of the scars.
Powerline "limited edition" 48 class loco, Lloyds whitemetal S wagons (the empties), Silvermaz S wagon (with coal load), Silvermaz LCH coal hoppers.

If only they still ran country trains that looked like this!
Austrains roundtop 36, Lloyds whitemetal CX dogbox, Austrains Pullman passenger carriages.

Jumbo 44203 emerges into the early morning sun hauling a coal train. The loco must have just been through the washer, in stark contrast to the grimy hoppers that follow.   Austrains 442, AR kits BCH & HCH coal hoppers.

44203 returns later that day behind a Bicentennial 422, with a long rake of empty flat wagons in tow.
Austrains 442, Lima 422, AR kits MLE flat wagons.

A 400 class railmotor is undergoing trials after a new engine was installed. The trials were a success and all that remains to do is apply the lining and lettering and some small detail items such as horns and a headlight.
